Eugene Wright, 66, has plead guilty to child rape and was sentenced to 123 months to life in prison.
Wright was a volunteer at the Big Foot Head Start Childcare Center on the Spokane Community College Campus. He admitted to sexually assaulting a 5 year-old girl during her naptime on August 12, 2010. Wright said he touched the child, and made her put her hands on him. He also told detectives that he made children sit on his lap, and rubbed their arms, legs, and backs.
Wright was also a volunteer at the East Central Community Center Head Start program, however no complaints were filed against Wright from that facility.
