need advice
hi,
i've been reading this forum and i thank you for all the help ur giving us, esp. IMGs.
i have a dilemma, my credentials are: 86/85, CS waiting results, an IMG w/ B-1 visa, applied to IM in 50 programs and only 5 interview calls. do u think I should apply more? and is there still time? also, 4 of the programs offer only J-1, and i wanted an H-1.
if a programs says they sponsor only J-1, do i still have a chance at H-1 even if i'll be the one to shoulder expenses? thanks.

It is late to apply now. If you do not have step 3, you will not get many interviews. That is the number one mistake IMGs do, apply to H1 programs without step 3! So, take step 3, if you have not done so already. As for J1 programs doing H1, the issue is not just expense, which for most H1 programs you bear anyway, but policy. You cannot expect changes in policy that easily!
You can do it, we can help!
