Dear Prab, The fantastic moderator, It is about med school transcript, could you help me ?? I mean : student A ( who studies at QRS Med School ) gets C in Anatomy exam and student B ( who studies at XYZ Med School ) gets A+ in Anatomy exam - (A+ means 100 correct score and E means 0 ) How important is medical school transcript ?? If student B does anatomy exam in QRS med school, he would get only D only ! as anatomy exam in QRS med school is extremly difficult How does PD judge individual med school transcript from different med schools around the world ? As the dificulty of exam in every med school is variable, nonstandardized on any subjects If I getb 98 in usnmle both 1 and 2 but not so good med school transcript How about my chance to get residency ? and letter from dean, what do dean have to write down ? cheers tuyul
Hi,
Thanks for the compliments. There is no standardization in how medical schools evaluate their students and that is why there is one standardized test - Usmle! Programs do not really place a lot of weight on medical school transcript for IMG's. Your scores, LOR's, USCE if any matter the most. Do not worry too much about the other stuff!
