Couple-Match. Advice

By Anonymous - Posted on 20 April 2007

Hi guys
It's the first time I post here. I'd like some advice..about couple-match plz. Before, our background...
I passed step 1(94) and step 2(98)(all first attepmt), i have specialty(finished last year) from my country and a year of clinical research. I graduated from the school 7 y ago.
My wife passed step 1(79 on 2d attempt) and step 2(75 first attempt), she graduate from medical school in 2003, no specialty and no research.
We both had a good observership few months ago and we just took the CSA(results still pending). I think our LORs are good.
We're permanent residents in USA.
I wonder if matching as a couple is a good option for us..I've been thinking a lot of that subject. Does it decrease our chances to match??. .should we match separately?? are there any programs who are friendly to couples?.
Thanks a lot in advance. Even if you couldn't answer(I understand)...I find this web very helpful...
