Hi,
You do not need to study step1 or 2 books for step 3 as long as you have done these exams recently and has not completely forgetten the basics. The following books are good. KAPLAN'S step 3 materials are pretty good aswell as their Q book and QBank Crush the boards, Kaplan Q book, Swanson's CCS Blueprints UW qbank The key is practicing with a partner, many people, even after residency, have trouble with this exam if they do not prepare properly. When I prepared, I practiced CCS with somebody who finished residency but had trouble passing the exam and it helped a lot as we found new tricks to order tests etc. You need to be critical of each other's choices and look for data to support the thouth process in CCS case management. 3-4 months of prep should be OK. All the best.
