a few more ccs software queries..pl answer
a long list, i know...but PLEASE answer these silly queries regarding the software...
1. what is the difference between 'cardiac monitor', and 'cardiac monitor. check' ? which should we order ?
2. how to order pulse oximetry- stat and continuous?? the software allows only stat...
3. how to check fev1 , pefr every hourly? after ordering them, they are not saved in any of the lists of- labs, imaging, other tests... they just get lost
4. what is the difference between oral fluids, clear and oral fluids, full?
5.how to order bp in all four limbs?
6.the pt of asthma/copd exacerbation- says nebulised albuterol every 20 min... there isnt an oprion of every 20 min- the earliest is every 1 hour... ???
7.Hypertension pt in ICU - how to check BP frequently?
8.x ray neck for FB aspiration is - x ray soft tissue or xray cervical spine??
9. when a pt of asthma is on nebuliser and o2 in ER, improves, and has to be sent to ward...should u continue the previouis treatment to the ward orders?
10.how to order a test, say sigmoidoscopy at a later time?
11. for child abuse, we hv to report to the child protection service.....where should we report elderly abuse cases?
12. where should we report hiv cases? there is no option of 'dept of health/ human services...' as mentioned in UW....
13. there is no option for western blot in the software..how to confirm a hiv positive elisa?

Depends, in most cases, you want nebs, oxygen, abx if fever, leucocytosis etc. 10.how to order a test, say sigmoidoscopy at a later time? Nobody, the patient can go to police if they will but you are not required to report. You can encourage them to report to police, and move to safe location, have a plan of EXIT etc. 12. where should we report hiv cases? there is no option of 'dept of health/ human services...' as mentioned in UW....

HIV testing is automatically done in 2 stages, you do not need to order seperately.
