Dear Dr. Prab,
How good are these internship programs in improving my chances for the next match? Its in one of the University hospitals around my place,They are meant to help the candidate work on health related research project and are short term and voluntary. Are they better than observerships? Its not meant solely for doctors, so anyone can do it? please advice...
Thanks Dr. Prab!
Hi,
It depends on who you work with and what you do. It is difinitely better than nothing and also, since it is a health related research project, you will most likely be able to get some LOR's from the people involved that will help. And it can help in networking also. You can even do some of these part time while doing some other Observership with a local MD or otherwise, so you get 2 things done at one time. All the best.
