h1b process and preparations required
Dear Prab,
It is very great to have a site like this, knowing that you always have someone to answer your queries! thanks for the efforts.
My questions are regarding the h1b process after (if at all) i match :)
1. Apart from waiting for the match results, what should i do in order to be prepared to submit my application as soon as possible?
2. What is the process of the h1b? This is what i understand- the Match results with the hospital's name would be out on 20 march.-- I contact the hospital to send me the contract --
Que- Does it have to be the original or can the program fax it ? ( i m out of the U.S) Next step- I sign the contract and send/mail it to the hospital.
QUe- what is the next step? Que- How do I apply for the state license?
que Do i have to meet a lawyer irrespective of the program's sponsoring? Wont the program do all the process? What is my part in the process? 3. I was on b1/b2 visa for my interviews. So I m not in the US at present. Do i have to meet a lawyer in my home country? 4. Where do i have to get my passport stamped for the h1? I am an indian citizen, with an indian passport but i also have resident visa of UAE. I am with my family here. Can i apply for the h1 stamping here? or do i have to go to india? 5. i came across a list of documents required somewhere on the net...
1) Application for H1B visa
2) USMLE score reports ? step 1, 2, 3
3) ECFMG certificate
4) Medical diploma
5) Medical school transcript
6) Copy of passport
7) Copy of driving license
14) Contract letter
15) Training certificate Que Driving license- I have an indian driving license and international driving license from india. is that it? Training certificate- which certificate is this? h1 B application- where can i get the application? 6. Applying for state license- where can i get information on what are the documents required for applying for state license?
Do i have to wait for the state license and THEN apply for the h1 at the US embassy? Thanks a lot in advance.

The program will have a medical education coordinator or director that will help you with getting the documents and applying for state license, your visa and all other paper work after you match. You do not need to be in this ocuntry to do that paperwork. I am currently in a vacation for 2 weeks. I will be able to answer in detail after my vacation. Thanks for the compliments.
You can do it, we can help!
