What's Primary Care Internal Medicine Catogorical Program?

By usresi - Posted on 19 August 2008

Hello Prab,
I've seen a few programs that offer Primary care Catogorical Internal Medicine. What's the program and How is it different from IM catogorical ?Please explain! I dont want to mess up applying to wrong programs. Thanks.
If you are interested in out patient medicine taking care of adult patients, and you are too keen on a fellowship, primary care track would be right for you. If you are not sure, categorical is the best option. It is not hugely different except you do abit more outpatient medicine with primary care track.
