Fellowship application cycles

Hi Prab,
what is the difference between these two:
1.July Application Cycle Specialties with applicants beginning positions July 2009 2.December Application Cycle Specialties with applicants beginning positions July 2010. I am interested in endocrinology. I hear that fellowship application process starts by mid of PGY-2. Based on what criteria does one choose the above two application cylces?

Hi,
You can choose either or both. The most common is July since that is when you will be done with residency. It is your personal choice. NO spesific criteria. All the best.
