Please guys I need some advice
Step 1 89/216
Step 2 CK 99/263
Step 2 CS passed
ECFMG certified.
Step 3 99/245
All exams cleared in first attempt.
Graduated in 2007.
PGY-1 in GS from my country, bu had to leave due to Green card issuance.
Some clinical experience(observership)
1.What are my chances in general surgery?
2. Is a good idea to apply to both tracks(preliminary and categorical) in the same program?
3. If I get an interview, will they tell for which(cat or prelim)?
I'd really appreciate any input.
Your scores are acceptable to many programs. You need to work on a great Personal Statement, and get US LORs. DO some externship or observership. If you need one, I might be able to help. Send an email to ptumpati at gmail dot com about observership. All the best.
