Is step 2 score more important

:?: IS step 2 score more important than step 1 for IM residency? Please post your views.
If you think about it, step 2 content is a lot more relevant to your residency than step 1. So it makes sense that your step 2 scores are very important especially if you are applying to FP or IM. However, if you are applying to pathology then step 1 is probably more important. Talking with some program directors and residents, many have informed me that many PDs do look at step 2 a little more closely than step 1. However, I have also heard the reverse from other residents.
So I really think it depends on the program and specialty. 8) Tharsan
