Advice on Rochester General Hospital

By challenger - Posted on 05 October 2004

Hi, I got an interview call and would like your opinion about Rochester General Hospital. How is the program and workload? Does it have good teaching and what about fellowship chances later on?
Thanxs in advance!
Thanxs Prab!! Really Helpful Review.
I need info on one more hospital if you don't mind i.e
The Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science Program.

Thanxs in advance![/quote] HI,
RGH is a good community hospital with great teaching, and I heard good reports about the program. One of my friends who interviewed there said he liked the program. The fellowships offered at the program are insignificant ones like Geriatrics and Woman's health etc. but residents do get into fellowships elsewhere. They give prematches and the competetion is high. It should be one of the good programs on your list. There are 3 reviews by current residents on the program which you might find useful below. http://www.scutwork.com/cgi-bin/links/review.cgi?ID=149&d=1 Do not 4get 2 come back and post your interview experience at RCC forums.
Good luck!
